Nereyda Cruz brings nearly a decade of accounting experience and a strong commitment to service to The Unfinished Foundation of Texas. A first-generation college graduate, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting in December 2017, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.75 GPA. She currently serves as an accountant for a local school district after previously building her career in corporate America. Looking ahead, she plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree in Finance.

As a dedicated professional, mother, and grandmother, Nereyda is driven by the example she wants to set for her family. Her daughter, two sons, and two beautiful grandchildren inspire her to continue growing personally and professionally while giving back to others.

Nereyda joined The Unfinished Foundation of Texas because she believes in the importance of investing in communities and creating opportunities for those who need them most. She is honored to support an organization whose mission aligns with her values of service, compassion, and hope. Having known the foundation’s founder personally, she is proud of the vision behind the organization and is committed to helping it make a lasting impact.

Outside of her professional and volunteer roles, Nereyda enjoys spending time with her family. Much of her free time is dedicated to supporting her son’s soccer journey, whether cheering from the sidelines or traveling to tournaments throughout the region.
